I ordered this toolbox for my Dad's birthday, he needed a toolbox becuase he started accumulating random tools. It's decently nice for the price, basically what you would expect. It's plastic based, but the flip lock on the front is metal. His knickname is "bee" so the black and yellow colors of this was perfect. As for the actual toolbox....the whole piecing was kinda clicked and popped together. Like the actual main hinge on the back is plastic, but it's thick and decent. the flaps on the top, however, have those little rods molded on the side of the flap to where they pop into place to flip...like on a childrens toy box. It also goes in a little at the bottom...so it's not "that" wide...but still a good size.It was perfect for us, considering he just has needed household tools...However if you have a professional mechanic for a dad...I would invest the money to get metal one...or one that's wider. Still a great product after all. Even though it's not suitible for some, I would definetly recommend it for most:)

It's the perfect size as a starter bird banding box. Pliers, leg gauge, etc. in the top. Bands fit nice in the bottom.

It's a great tool box, I wish they made an 18" though. 20" was going to be too big, I had to do some creative manuevering to get all the items in there I wanted. Overall I can't be too upset, it was a great deal.
